2011 Ford Explorer: Remember Me to Herald Square
The unveiling of the 2011 Ford Explorer brought a breath of the great outdoors to midtown Manhattan. The new Explorer is a lesson of small things in big packages with a super-efficient turbo V-6 engine providing the fuel efficiency of a Toyota Camry. The new design represents Ford’s move to curvaceous continuity over the boxy look of Explorer past.
“We’re fighting for the soul of manufacturing in the United States,” CEO Alan Mulally said in reference to the $400 million investment in the Midwest.
The Explorer will cost $28,995, sailing in at under 30K for the base price.

It sure interesting the day I woke up to a man-made forest smack dab in the middle of Herald Square. Clever marketing stunt, Ford!
