New Exhibit: Grab at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian
Grab: The Exhibition is on view at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian through April 17. Photographers Cybelle Codish, Idris Rheubottom and Tony Craig documented Grab Day, an annual event in Laguna Pueblo tribes. The celebration focus on abundance, renewal and appreciation. A reception will be held on Mar. 30 at 6 p.m.at the museum in New York City.
The project was inspired by Billy Luther’s film about the occasion, which is an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival.
