New Exhibition: Vivian Maier

The work of street photographer Vivian Maier was revealed when collector John Maloof sold them at Chicago auction in the 2007. Maier shot over 2000 rolls of film from the 1940s to the 1970s, and traveled to many countries to capture her subjects. She focused on New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, the Southwest, Manila, Beijing, Egypt and Italy.  She used a Rolleiflex camera, and worked as a nanny. She died in 2009 at age 83.
